It's All About Patient Safety

Everyone at the Cumberland Health Authority is committed to working with our patients, clients and their families to provide quality health care and to promote safety within all of our facilities and services.

Did you know that people who are more involved in their own health care tend to do better and stay safe? For this reason, we want to keep you informed of the ways you can help ensure your own health care experiences are positive and safe. We also want to share information on the things WE are doing to help ensure your safety.

We offer a variety of patient safety resources that we encourage you to read. Please take a moment to review this information before your next visit to hospital or primary care provider (doctor or nurse practitioner).

The District's services range from acute to long-term care and include public health, addiction and mental health programs. From five health care facilities and several community-based sites, a total staffing complement of nearly 800 health professionals and support staff provide quality care to Cumberland County's 33,000 citizens.

Please explore this website to learn more about the CHA's programs and services and about our people and communities. Visit the "Career Opportunities" section for details on employment with our health authority where the focus is "Healthy Communities, Healthy Worklife, Healthy Future".
