The Auxiliary of All Saints Springhill Hospital has a long and distinguished history of raising funds to support health care services at the facility. For many years the auxiliary consisted of only women members but recent changes have seen a number of men become active members as well. The auxiliary has purchased countless pieces of equipment and other necessities for the hospital and can always be counted upon to meet any challenge that may present itself. The group meets monthly on the third Wednesday in the Board Room at the hospital.
Beginning in 1953, the Women's Auxiliary Memorial Fund, All Saints Springhill Hospital, accepted donations in memory of friends and loved ones and this was the major source of funding for the organization. In October 1995, the All Saints Community Health Care Foundation took over administration of the Memorial Fund on behalf of the Auxiliary. Anyone wishing to place a memorial donation is asked to contact the Foundation office at 597-2634.
The Auxiliary's funding now comes from a variety of sources including community-based activities like raffles, dinners and an annual tag day. The auxiliary also operates a Gift Shop located near the main entrance of All Saints Springhill Hospital. The Gift Shop, staffed completely by volunteers, carries a nice selection of gifts, including silk flower arrangements and handcrafts, as well as snacks. Normal hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
