All Saints Community Health Care Foundation
"Working together in support of our communities."

The All Saints Community Health Care Foundation was incorporated in 1993 to assist in the provision of medical and health care equipment, services and education in the are presently served by All Saints Springhill Hospital.

Health Care in the All Saints' community of Southampton, Springhill, Collingwood, Oxford and Wentworth requires an involved community active in supporting the substantial cost of maintaining the excellent level of health care currently provided.

As a charitable organization, the Foundation relies on the support of a generous community. Receipts are issued for donations which are tax deductible.

How Our Dollars Are Spent

The Foundation has provided key financial support for a number of projects since its inception. Most recent of these are:

  • Funding to cover the construction of a new helicopter landing pad to serve All Saints Springhill Hospital and the community-at-large. At a total cost of over $35,000 this represented a huge financial commitment for the Foundation.
  • The Mobile Breast Screening Program that serves Cumberland, Colchester-East Hants and Pictou counties. (See the CHA main page for further information on this program.)

Types of Donations

  • Pledges are an integral part of all charitable organizations. A large portion of our donations come from cash pledges made by citizens and the business community.
  • Memorials - since 1953, the Women's Auxiliary Memorial Fund, All Saints Springhill Hospital, has been accepting donations in memory of friends and loved ones. Beginning in October 1995, the Foundation took over administration of the Memorial Fund on behalf of the Auxiliary. Anyone wishing to place a memorial donation is asked to contact the Foundation office at 597-2634.
  • Planned Gift Giving (Bequests/Beneficiary) - A charitable organization such as the All Saints Community Health Care Foundation can be named as a recipient in a will or through the beneficiary section of a life insurance policy.
  • Special Events/Fundraisers - Activities to raise fund for the Foundation are ongoing throughout the year. Support of these events will contributed to the funding of local health care services.
  • Miscellaneous Services - Donations can be made to the Foundation for those celebrating a birthday or anniversary. The Foundation staff will obtain the necessary information so they may send a letter to the family or individual letting them know of your generosity and how those dollars will be spent.
