Bayview Health Care Foundation
The Bayview Health Care Foundation was founded to provide financial
support for the provision of health care services in the rural community
of Advocate and surrounding areas. In addition to supporting various
initiatives at the Bayview Memorial Health Centre, the Foundation's
primary focus has been the maintenance of a site to house office space
for a family physician in the local area. In the mid-80's, the Foundation
purchased a private dwelling located in the center of the community
and equipped it to house physician offices which it has done since that
time.
Just recently, through the community-minded efforts of the Bayview
Health Care Foundation, extensive renovations have been undertaken to
the building so that both the nurse practitioner and the physician working
in the collaborative practice will have offices at this site.
