Interpretation Services

As a result of the rich cultural diversity among the members of our health care team, some of our staff members speak languages other than English. If a patient or their family requires assistance, personnel in the registration and/or emergency departments will endeavor to find an interpreter.

In keeping with Nova Scotia's requirement to make French Language Service available in health care settings across the province, the Cumberland Health Authority has made a commitment to provide translation service in accordance with the attached planning document.

French-Language Services Plan for 2009-2010
Régie régionale de la santé Cumberland Plan de services en français 2009-2010

In addition, the Province of Nova Scotia has provided a Directory of French Speaking Primary Health Care Providers. That information is available by clicking on the link provided.
